While ARTPETRON aims to encourage the development of the talents of young Filipino artists, it has chosen to be unique.

  • ARTPETRON targets a special niche of the youth population: the college student and the art student in a tutorial course or a museum-based painting class.
  • ARTPETRON is theme-based, specifically on Filipiniana themes. Its 2001 theme zeroes in on Filipino indigenous games.
  • ARTPETRON has three first prizes per category, each one winning the highest cash prize given in an art contest, and a trophy. It has also three runners up per category, each one winning a cash prize and a certificate.
  • ARTPETRON pays tribute to the schools and institutions of the winning participants by giving them a computer set.
  • ARTPETRON winners will be featured in the 2002 Petron calendar which is sent to all Petron customers all over the country.
  • ARTPETRON generously offers to frame the 30 semifinalists.
  • ARTPETRON involves its dealers through availability of forms in service stations.
  • ARTPETRON's Boards of Judges are composed of eminent men and women involved in arts and culture, and also its top officers including its Chairman and President.
  • ARTPETRON winning entries will be exhibited in select museums and schools.
