Selecting the winning artworks is an eminent group of judges chosen for their love for the arts, and experience in the fields of arts and culture. The judges were further divided into two groups:

  1. A Preliminary Board of Judges composed of Petron officials, Fine Arts professors, established artists, and art patrons; and
  2. A Final Board of Judges chaired by a National Artist for Visual Arts, and composed of museum administrators, Fine Arts deans, multi-awarded artists, heads of cultural institutions, and art critics.
